Tips for Bird Watching

birders-paradise1Here are someĀ  for great bird watching

Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your bird watching times.

Choosing the best time for birding

The time of day is an important factor for bird watching. The best time of day to see birds is close to dawn. Most birds come out at the crack of dawn to start looking for food so if you want to see as many birds as possible you need to get up early. The worst time of day to see birds is the afternoon, especially if it is warm out. Warm sunny afternoons is the time when the birds will be resting. You may see a few birds but most of them will be laying low.

If you pay particular attention to the weather when you’re birdwatching it will make it easier to spot where the birds are. If it is hot and sunny, then the most likely place that you will find birds is in the shade. Although you will see birds flying when it is windy, they typically do not like standing in the wind. So if it is windy and look for birds in sheltered places.

With experience you will learn where and when is the best time to see the most birds and to spot some of the rarer species.

Happy birding
